Meet a Santiago TOEFL Tutor: Agnes F.

Agnes F. has always loved languages. Originally from Stockholm, she moved to the United States to attend college, and she graduated from the University of Michigan-Ann Arbor with a bachelor's degree in linguistics. During her undergrad, she worked as a tutor in her school's learning lab and enjoyed helping others master information that came easily to her. She then obtained a master's degree in international relations from Johns Hopkins University. After graduating, she was hired as a translator by a multinational tech company in Santiago. Agnes speaks four languages, including Spanish, and she was excited to have the opportunity to help people better understand one another in a corporate environment.

While Agnes enjoyed her work, she also wanted others to experience their own successes, and she knew the importance of a quality education. When she learned Manhattan Review had an office in Santiago, she reached out about helping students prepare for the TOEFL and other standardized tests. We were thrilled to welcome Agnes to the team, and her prep courses fill up almost as quickly as they are announced. Her students appreciate her experience in the field, as well as her academic knowledge. When she isn't guiding future college students to their own TOEFL success, Agnes enjoys knitting and backpacking with friends in the mountains on weekends.
