Meet a Chicago TOEFL Tutor: Michael R.

To truly master the nuances of the English language, you want to learn from a grammar geek and wily wordsmith. That's where Michael can help you read challenging materials and use language to communicate clearly and energetically. Michael is a skilled communicator who encourages his students to grow by following his own expressive example. For reading comprehension, Michael will bring in selections from Amazon's most popular e-books for the class to read aloud and debate.

Michael can relay study skills to prepare for the TOEFL, but he's also taught students test prep for the SAT, PSAT, and ACT exams. To master ESL, let Michael help you become more comfortable using English to communicate. Michael holds both a B.A. and M.A. in English Language and Literature, graduating from Stanford and Harvard respectively to earn his degrees. Nowadays, Michael lives in Chicago and plays bass guitar for a blues band when he's not center stage for his students in the classroom.
