ACT Private Tutoring in Champaign (Illinois)
Are you a Champaign-based student seeking to obtain the highest score possible on the ACT? If you are searching for the most effective and comprehensive resources to support your ACT preparation, look no further than the test prep professionals at Manhattan Review. The ACT provides students an important alternative to the SAT, and in many states the ACT is actually favored over the SAT by high school students preparing their college applications. When it comes to preparing for a test as important as the ACT, certain students know they do well learning in the company of others, finding their questions or comments insightful and helpful. Other students, however, know they do not perform at their best when attempting to learn complex academic information in a group setting. They worry about slowing the group down or holding others back as they work at a slower pace. Alternatively, these students may experience boredom or frustration once they have mastered a subject but cannot move on until the rest of the group demonstrates similar mastery. If you know you learn best through one-on-one instruction customized to your individual learning needs, consider working with one of the experienced private tutors at Manhattan Review.
Research consistently demonstrate that working with a professional educator offers numerous established benefits, including accelerated learning, improved recall and retention, and improved confidence in your test-taking abilities. Preparing for a test with individualized attention and customized lesson plans can significantly improve your ability to master and retain new information. When you work with a private tutor, you learn how best to leverage the academic strengths you already possess while also discovering how to overcome any areas of weakness that might negatively affect your test performance. Meet a Champaign ACT Tutor: Alejandro D.
Alejandro D. was born in Costa Rica and never really imagined living anywhere else until he relocated to the US for college. Alejandro dreamed of one day becoming a professional educator, like his mother and aunt, and he planned to specialize in mathematics. After earning a very high ACT score, Alejandro was accepted at Stanford University. During his time there, Jesse worked part-time as a tutor in the Math & Science Lab, helping others who did not find working with numbers as enjoyable as he did. After graduating, Alejandro obtained a master's degree in mathematics from the University of California at Los Angeles, as well as a master's degree in education. When he was offered a position as a math teacher at a private school in Champaign, Alejandro packed his suitcases and happily relocated.
Alejandro loves any chance to work with students, and when he learned Manhattan Review had a local office in Champaign, he contacted us about helping students prepare for the ACT and other standardized college entrance exams. Alejandro was quickly welcomed to the team, and his students appreciate his detail-oriented approach to test mastery, as well as his time-saving tips for solving difficult math problems. When Alejandro isn't guiding future college students to their own ACT success, he can be found playing the guitar in a local band and going kayaking with friends.
