ACT Private Tutoring in Edinburgh (Scotland)
With the ACT and SAT being such potentially critical standardized tests in a student's life due to their importance in the college admissions process, having proper preparation in some form is an important factor for getting the highest possible score one can achieve. Private tutoring is an increasingly popular resource for standardized tests thanks to the increasing number of students who are looking to further their education, take advantage of resources available to them, and get the highest possible score on the day of the test. Manhattan Review has been providing private tutoring services to students in and out of the Edinburgh area since 1999, and remains the best option in the area for students who are looking for private tutoring or other resources to help them with their studies. Manhattan Review students can also utilize private tutoring in combination with the group courses and annually updated practice exams that we offer for various standardized tests, including the ACT.
Manhattan Review's private tutoring services come with some of the most experienced instructors in the Edinburgh area, all of whom have many years of helping students with such popular standardized tests as the SAT and ACT exams. Students can use the private tutoring option either in-person or online depending on what they feel would be best for their study process. (Our group courses are also available either in-person or online.) Students who choose to work with an in-person tutor in the Edinburgh area have the benefits of flexible scheduling, the ability to work with their tutor in a location in the area that is agreeable and comfortable to both parties, and the ability to customize their own lesson plan. This ability allows students to have a more well-rounded performance on the day of the exam with greater insight into their own strengths and weaknesses as a result of the course of study.
Students who have taken advantage of the offerings for ACT preparation that Manhattan Review offers its students have gone on to achieve a higher score on the day of the exam. Students have developed an increased familiarity with the form and content of the exam, increased their confidence in their test-taking ability, and developed a better sense of time management for the day of the test. Students have subsequently managed to take advantage of their higher scores on the ACT and use them to get into highly ranked colleges both in and out of the Edinburgh area. Students from Manhattan Review have gone on to attend Edinburgh schools such as University of Edinburgh. They have also gone on to attend highly ranked schools around the world such as Harvard, Yale, Columbia, University of Chicago, William and Mary, Emory, Brown, Oxford, Cambridge, and many more. Meet a Edinburgh ACT Tutor: Cedric M.
Cedric M. took up tutoring for the SAT and ACT shortly after he delivered a strong performance on the exam, and he continued to work with students throughout his time at university and grad school. He is a long-time Edinburgh resident who is currently working as a teacher and a tutor in the area, including as an instructor for Manhattan Review.
Cedric teaches both group courses and private students for Manhattan Review and believes that a combination of both individual study and learning in a group atomsphere is the best way to cover the material that will be encountered on the ACT/SAT, as the exams are usually taken both individually and in a room with other students. In his spare time, he likes to run.
