Meet a Memphis ACT Tutor: Jim P.
Jim P. originally grew up in the Los Angeles area and gained his Master's degree in English from UCLA, but moved to Memphis for career purposes. He has been helping students with a wide variety of standardized tests since college, and he has been helping students with the SAT and ACT exams ever since his freshman year while having expanded his repertoire since then.
Jim's standardized test preparation methods involve a focus on reading comprehension that he learned during his time studying English and also learning the rules to less widely-taken standardized tests such as the TOEFL and IELTS. He believes that this is a critical component of getting a high score on the day of the exam and applicable to both sections on the ACT. In his spare time, he works with dogs.
