The ACT has become an increasingly popular exam over the past few years, providing students an important alternative to the SAT. When it comes to preparing for such an important exam, certain students know they do well learning in classroom-style settings, finding others' questions or comments helpful. Other students, however, know they do not perform at their best when attempting to master challenging academic information in a group setting. They worry about slowing the group down because they need to work at a slower pace. Meet a Milan ACT Tutor: Paul A.
Paul A. was born to an expat family in Rome but moved to the United States for college. He hoped to someday become a professional educator like his mother and aunt. After obtaining a very high ACT score, Paul was accepted at the University of Pennsylvania. While earning his undergraduate degree in mathematics, Paul worked part-time as a tutor in the university's learning center, helping others who did not find numbers as interesting as he did. After graduating, Paul attended the University of California at Berkeley and obtained a master's degree in education. When he was offered a position as a math teacher at a private school in Milan, Paul was thrilled to return to Italy and couldn't wait to begin his teaching career.
Paul loves any chance to work with students, and when he learned Manhattan Review had a local office in Milan, he contacted us about helping students prepare for the ACT and other standardized tests, knowing just how important a high test score could be when applying to leading colleges. Paul was quickly welcomed to the team, and his private tutoring students love his detail-oriented approach to test prep, as well as his expertly customized tutoring programs and upbeat personality. When Paul isn't guiding future college students to their own ACT success, he can be found cooking with his girlfriend and making his own electronic music.
