Meet a Chicago SAT Tutor: Rich T.

Rich was born in New Orleans and has lived in New Jersey, California, and Illinois throughout his academic career. He loves working with students to maximize their SAT scores and also has experience tutoring for the GRE and GMAT exams. Rich will steer his students away from guessing tricks, focusing instead on a superior process for solving problems and building a solid foundation of pertinent continent knowledge.

Rich has a PhD in Decision Making from The University of Chicago and is personally invested in helping his pupils overcome test-taking anxiety. He wrote his thesis on the subject of standardized testing and why sequential tasks are so more difficult than answering individual questions. In short, Rich will help you shed those overwhelmed feelings to reach your full potential on the SAT.

Before returning to school for his doctorate degree, Rich earned a degree in English from Yale. As a Manhattan Review SAT instructor in Chicago, Rich is able to transfer his skills from these many roles into substantial results. Rich's philosophy is that there is a great deal of material to cover, but achieving a top score is worth the effort and is the first step toward professional success. For fun, Rich enjoys brewing his own beer, kayaking, and traveling.
