Meet a Dayton IELTS Tutor: Meiying J.

Meiying J. grew up in Singapore, then moved to the United States with her family when she was fourteen. From a very young age, Meiying dreamed of becoming an actress in the theater. She was active in her high school drama club and won starring roles in numerous plays and musicals. Meiying obtained a very high SAT score, and combined with her extracurricular activities and impressive grades, she was able to attend New York University. Fluent in four languages, Meiying worked in the university's learning center, helping others master concepts that came easily to her. After graduating, Meiying went on to obtain a master's degree in education, as well as a TESOL certificate, from the University of California at San Diego. While she had never lived in Ohio before, Meiying was excited to be offered a position teaching drama at a private high school in Dayton.

Meiying established herself as a successful educator, and after a while she began seeking ways to connect with ESL students, wanting to help them succeed both academically and professionally. It wasn't long before she joined the team at Manhattan Review, and she loves helping students master the English they need to ace tests such as the TOEFL and IELTS. Her classes fill up quickly, and students consistently praise her positive and supportive personality.
