Meet a Ghent Tutor: Emma D.

Emma D. was born and raised in Ghent but moved to the US for college after being accepted at Duke University. Excited to pursue a career as a professional educator, she majored in mathematics at Duke. Emma then attended New York University where she obtained a master's degree in education and worked as a tutor for four semesters. After graduating, she accepted a position in the New York City public school system, teaching mathematics, statistics, and pre-calculus. A few years into her teaching career, Emma was offered a position at a private school in Ghent, and she quickly accepted, thrilled to move closer to family. After Manhattan Review opened an office in the city, it wasn't long before Emma joined the team as a professional instructor. 

Emma has extensive first-hand experience with a variety of standardized tests, and she knows how to help students master the content they need to ensure their own academic success. Students love her upbeat attitude as much as her strong analytical skills, and Emma's courses always fill up quickly.
