Manhattan Review – Time Efficient GMAT Prep Services
Manhattan Review is a company that has been dedicated to helping students around the world accomplish their academic goals since being established in 1999. Our company was founded through innovative approaches to preparing prospective students for the Graduate Management Admission Test (GMAT), and our services have helped thousands of students do their absolute best on the GMAT, allowing them to fulfill their dreams of attending the world's most selective institutions for advanced business training. Manhattan Review's clients have been accepted to Harvard Business School, the Stanford Graduate School of Business, Northwestern University's Kellogg School of Management, the University of Pennsylvania's Wharton School, Columbia Business School, the London School of Economics, London Business School, and many other fine graduate business programs. Our past students have become successful business professionals at Fortune 500 companies and top firms in cities worldwide. Though we have received many accolades over the years, the achievements of our students speak the loudest about the quality of our GMAT prep services.
Manhattan Review's GMAT prep offerings can be taken either in classroom format (on-site and online) or as one-on-one private tutoring sessions. All of our GMAT prep services include well-planned course syllabi and student-centered instructional methodologies, implemented by dedicated and experienced GMAT educators. Our GMAT courses and individual learning plans have been developed by an expert team of professors, educational researchers, and business school admissions consultants. Our proven methods of GMAT teaching and learning ensure that our students absorb the most important GMAT content, testing skills, and performance-enhancing strategies for their highest possible GMAT scores. Our focus on accessibility and broad thinking gives our students a GMAT learning experience that is as engaging as it is effective. At Manhattan Review, we realize how essential the GMAT is to your future, and we are therefore singularly devoted to giving you the most carefully constructed and precisely implemented GMAT prep that the industry has to offer.
Best-in-class GMAT Course Instructors and Tutors
Highly qualified GMAT teachers are indispensable to GMAT preparation, a fact that too many test prep companies forget. Other test prep firms will often make hiring decisions based on nothing more than an applicant's own test scores. At Manhattan Review, we consider upper-percentile test scores to be necessary but not sufficient. It is both possible and common for high-scoring students to make poor educators, and this is simply because test-taking and teaching test prep are different skills. For this reason, high test scores are only a bare-minimum prerequisite for Manhattan Review's GMAT instructor applicants. We also look at academic performance at the undergraduate and graduate levels, diversity of courses taken, business knowledge and experience, teaching history, and perhaps most importantly, an enthusiasm for GMAT education that motivates and inspires students. Selected candidates for GMAT tutor positions are thoroughly trained in Manhattan Review's course syllabi and instructional methodologies. This hiring and training process gives our students the knowledgeable, reliable, and committed GMAT instruction that their academic and professional goals demand.

Manhattan Review History
Manhattan Review was founded in New York City in 1999 by Joern Meissner, who was then a doctoral student at Columbia Business School. Professor Meissner's lectures to MBA students at Columbia were characterized by an ability to simplify and reduce complex concepts to their essence. Several of these students wondered if this approach could be used to create better GMAT prep courses than the ineffective content memorization and test-taking "tricks" that have historically been the basis of traditional GMAT prep offerings. Professor Meissner developed original GMAT lectures that became immediately popular with prospective business students, and an innovative test prep company was born.
Manhattan Review has become an international educational services firm that provides prep courses and private tutoring for the GMAT, GRE, LSAT, SAT, and TOEFL in major North American, European, Asian, and Australian cities, with additional services that include admissions consulting, application advising, and practice tests. Professor Meissner has continued with a distinguished academic career, and he is a recognized authority in the areas of supply chain management, logistics, and pricing strategy. Professor Meissner thoroughly enjoys his research, but he believes that grasping an idea is only half of the fun: conveying knowledge to others is even more fulfilling. This philosophy was crucial to the establishment of Manhattan Review and remains its most cherished principle.
