It is an established truth in education that no two students learn in the exact same way. Many students do perfectly well learning in classroom-style groups and find the contributions made by their peers to be helpful and informative. Other students, however, know that they learn best through one-on-one instruction with a more individualized approach, the type of customization only available through private tutoring. In order to be as prepared as possible for the GMAT, consider strengthening your preparation by working with a private tutor, learning through a program of study created just for you and your unique learning needs. Given that every student learns in their own way and at their own pace, there's no need to try and change how you learn to fit into a group prep course format. We offer one-on-one tutoring services to help you prepare for the GMAT at your pace and by focusing on those particular areas of the exam that are most difficult for you. Working with a private tutor provides you the opportunity for targeted GMAT preparation, as well as comprehensive study, ensuring you cover everything you need to perform at your absolute best on the exam. In your private tutoring sessions, your tutor will begin by identifying your personal learning style, noting the academic strengths you already possess while planning out how to avoid or overcome any areas of weakness that might negatively impact your GMAT performance.
Private GMAT tutoring services are available for all clients, whether you recently graduated from college or university or have already established a professional presence and want to take your career to the next level by a pay raise or promotion. Increase your earning potential by obtaining an impressive GMAT score and attending a world-class business program certain to lead to the career of your dreams here in Beijing or other locations around the world. The Graduate Management Admission Council (GMAC), the organization responsible for the administration of the GMAT, tracks and reports statistical information about test-takers, studying them as a whole while also dividing them into subgroups. Total GMAT scores range from 200 to 800, and roughly two-thirds of test-takers will score between 400 and 600. According to the available statistics, the mean GMAT total score for all test-takers is 574. Top business programs around the world require very high GMAT scores. For example, the University of Texas at Austin, repeatedly ranked as one of the best business schools in the world, regularly has an incoming first-year class with average GMAT scores falling in the range of 650-740.

Meet a Beijing GMAT Tutor: Natalia P.
Natalia P. grew up in San Francisco and never really considered leaving California until her mother had the opportunity to teach abroad for two years in Beijing. "I was so nervous about moving," recalls Natalia, "and it was definitely an adjustment, but after a few months, I completely fell in love with Beijing." Natalia enjoyed living in Beijing so much that she was sad when her mother's teaching opportunity ended and the family returned to California. "I didn't know exactly what career I wanted, but I knew I wanted the chance to live in Beijing again," shares Natalia.
Natalia graduated from the University of California at Los Angeles with an undergraduate degree in business. She knew she wanted to obtain her MBA but also knew she would prepare more diligently if she had someone to help keep her accountable. "I was fortunate to work with a fantastic tutor," Natalia recalls, "and between working regularly with her and completing homework she assigned me, I felt like I knew exactly what to expect on test day." Natalia scored in the 2nd percentile on the GMAT, earning herself offers of admission to several leading business programs, but she ultimately chose to attend the University of Southern California "because I also wanted to obtain a teaching certificate that would allow me to teach educational courses around the world."
Natalia worked hard during her graduate business program, earning her MBA and teaching certificate. Upon graduation, she was offered a position with a company in Los Angeles that would allow her to teach business seminars and professional development workshops to corporate professionals and promised her the opportunity to live abroad. Within just a few years, Natalia was given the chance to transfer within her company to an office in Beijing, and she leaped at the opportunity. While Natalia enjoyed teaching other business professionals, she also found herself wanting to make a difference among the next generation of business executives. "I kept thinking how much I owed to my tutor and how important the work we'd done together was, and I wanted to give that to others still early in establishing their career." Natalia reached out to the Beijing office of Manhattan Review, and we were immediately impressed by her passion, as well as her extensive firsthand experience. Natalia began offering private tutoring to students planning to take the GMAT, allowing her to feel like her passion for business and education had finally merged. Her one-on-one students appreciate her real-life examples, as well as her ability to help them learn to manage their time on the lengthy GMAT. When she isn't guiding future business leaders to their own success, Natalia is an avid artist, painting local scenes of life in Beijing, as well as enjoying traveling art shows and dance performances and enjoying homemade potlucks with friends.
