Meet a Minneapolis GMAT Tutor: Johnny W.

A true Southern gentleman, Johnny graduated from Emory University with a degree in Business Administration and Management before he traveled North for graduate school at Columbia. The harsh winters he was unaccustomed to, but the challenge of tutoring his peers he was prepared for having spent the last year of undergrad tutoring freshman.

Soon after receiving a world-class MBA, Johnny desired to move somewhere a little closer to home. Minneapolis' central location, hub of business and culture became Johnny's new home in no time. Tutoring and working out for triathlons are Johnny's two passions in life. Like running, Johnny understands studying for the GMAT requires dedication and consistency; and results are not found the first day, but after preparation and hard work. He also never runs the same course every day to remind him that his students all take different paths too. With over five years of tutoring under his belt, Johnny has seen it all in the form of GMAT exams. Year after year he has been turning out high-scoring champions.

When he isn't running or teaching, Johnny can be found on his way to see his family in Minnesota. He loves letting his many nieces and nephews tackle him and plays hide and seek for hours. Although he misses his family, Johnny knows he belongs in the City of Lakes. He teases when he says he's a Southerner by birth, but has 'converted' to being a Midwesterner. The fresh water lakes are his favorite place to relax on his time off and he takes his chocolate lab, Tony, often to swim and play.
