Meet a Champaign GRE Tutor: Stella R.
Stella R. grew up in Austin, where she discovered a passion for math at an early age. She worked very hard in high school and her grades and extracurricular activities, combined with an impressive ACT score, earned her admittance to the University of Texas-Austin, where she completed an undergraduate degree in mathematics. During her undergrad, Stella worked part-time as a tutor helping others understand math classes and concepts that came easily to her. Knowing she wanted to obtain a graduate degree, Stella made preparing for the GRE a top priority, and her efforts paid off when she received a very high score that opened important academic doors. Stella obtained a master's degree in mathematical sciences from the University of Oxford, allowing her to experience living overseas while attending a prestigious graduate program.
After graduating, Stella accepted a position with an established international cyber security company. She was excited to return to the United States and settled in Champaign, hoping to find ways to continue working with students while growing her career. When a rare position for an experienced tutor opened up at the local Manhattan Review office, Stella soon joined the team, and students appreciate her strong quantitative reasoning skills. When she isn't helping future graduate students obtain their own impressive GRE scores, Stella can be found knitting and hosting weekend potlucks with friends.
