Meet a Dayton GRE Tutor: Heather L.
Heather L. grew up in Miami, where she discovered a passion for math at an early age. She worked very hard in school and her high grades, combined with an impressive SAT score, earned her admittance to Emory University, where she completed an undergraduate degree in mathematics. During her undergrad program, she worked part-time as a tutor helping others understand the math courses and concepts that came easily to her. Determined to obtain a graduate degree, Heather treated preparing for the GRE as a top priority, and her diligence was rewarded with an impressively high score that opened important academic doors. Heather obtained a master's degree in mathematical sciences from the University of Oxford, consistently ranked among the best graduate programs in the world.
After graduating, Heather accepted a position with a respected international cyber security company. After living in Europe for a few years, she was excited to relocate to Dayton and hoped to find ways to work with students again while continuing her career. When a rare position for an experienced tutor opened up at the local Manhattan Review office, Heather soon joined the team. Her students respect her strong quantitative reasoning skills and appreciate her clear explanations. When she isn't guiding future graduate students to their own impressive GRE scores, Heather can be found knitting and working in her garden.
