The GRE is one of the world's most widely taken graduate-level tests, and it is administered to more than 655,000 prospective graduate students annually. The GRE is available throughout the year at test centers around the world, and students may take the test up to five times every 12 months. The GRE includes sections on verbal reasoning, quantitative reasoning, and analytical writing, requiring a broad set of general academic skills. Nearly all graduate programs at universities in the United States accept the GRE, which is also considered in many other countries (the only general exceptions are law school and medical school, which require different tests). Although the majority of graduate business students take the GMAT, an increasing number are opting for the GRE, which most business schools allow. Professional instruction with competent and experienced educators is the best way to ensure high scores on the GRE, which can have a significantly favorable impact on graduate school admissions.
Manhattan Review's GRE private tutoring and GRE prep courses are strongly associated with graduate school acceptance. Our GRE clients have pursued and finished master's or doctoral degrees at elite schools such as Stanford, Princeton, Oxford, Harvard, Yale, Brown, Cambridge, the London School of Economics, the University of Pennsylvania, Dartmouth, Columbia, Northwestern, the University of Chicago, the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, the California Institute of Technology, Johns Hopkins, Georgetown, King's College London, and many more. These students finish their degree programs with the knowledge, skills, and abilities that employers seek. I wanted to thank you for teaching my class and being such a dedicated instructor. When I first started studying for the GRE I was doing it from complete scratch as I had not done this type of math in many years. I was scoring in the low 300's, and was having trouble with some of the quick math necessary to do well on the test. Our class helped me figure out how to break down problems into commonly found concepts and to quickly do the computation to answer them (by, for example, factoring). I took the GRE this past Friday and scored a 720 in math -- much higher than I had originally hoped for when I started studying. I know your going the extra mile to help, both in tutoring and in class, really made a difference to my score. Thanks again!

Meet an Evanston GRE Tutor: Sidney B.
Sidney B., a Boston native, moved to Evanston last year to join Manhattan Review's local team of highly experienced GRE tutors. He taught GRE prep for seven years in his home city, and he is equally effective in classroom and individual contexts. Sidney’s teaching experience also includes two years as a junior college instructor and three years on the faculty of a private high school.
Sidney is a graduate of Boston University (bachelor's degree in philosophy) and the University of Massachusetts-Amherst (master's degree in philosophy). He received a scholarship for graduate school attendance based partially on his GRE scores, which were in the top 1% of all test-takers. Although he maintains a full teaching schedule, he always makes time to watch the Boston Red Sox on TV.
