GRE Prep Course Ghent - Photo of Student Tamara

I would like to let you know that I took the GRE on Monday, December 6th and earned a score of 1200 (600 verbal, 600 quantitative). I think that I did very well on the essay portion of the test as well but won't receive those scores in the mail for a couple weeks or so. I would like to thank my instructor (George S.) and Manhattan Review for helping me to increase my score so much (I got a 1050 the first time I took the GRE in 2002) Thank you very much.

Meet a Ghent GRE Tutor: Tess N.

Tess N. grew up in Amsterdam and discovered a passion for math at an early age. She worked very hard in school and earned high grades which, combined with an impressive SAT score, gained her admittance to the University of Toronto. During her undergrad, she majored in mathematics while also working part-time as a tutor in the university learning center, helping others master math-related concepts that came easily to her. Intent on obtaining a graduate degree, Tess treated preparing for the GRE as a top priority. Her diligence was rewarded with a high score that opened important academic doors, and Tess obtained a master's degree in mathematical sciences from Yale University.

After graduating, Tess accepted a position as a math instructor at a respected international school in Ghent. She was excited to return to Europe and hoped to find ways to support students seeking their own advanced academic degrees. When a rare position for an experienced tutor opened up at the local Manhattan Review office, Tess applied and almost immediately joined the team. Her students rave about her strong quantitative reasoning and math abilities, as well as her helpful time-management skills. When she isn't guiding future graduate students to their own impressive GRE scores, Tess can be found volunteering at an animal shelter and perfecting her knitting skills.
