I would like to let you know that I took the GRE on Monday, December 6th and earned a score of 1200 (600 verbal, 600 quantitative). I think that I did very well on the essay portion of the test as well but won't receive those scores in the mail for a couple weeks or so. I would like to thank my instructor (George S.) and Manhattan Review for helping me to increase my score so much (I got a 1050 the first time I took the GRE in 2002) Thank you very much.

Meet a Portland GRE Tutor: Walter W.
Growing up in Rip City, Walter has enjoyed a successful academic career in his hometown. After a solid high school performance at Grant High School, Walter went on to study at the Lundquist College of Business at the University of Oregon, where he graduated at the top of his class with a concentration in Consulting. Now, he still resides in Portland and passes the torch to future incoming freshmen.
A strong believer in education, Walter knows from experience just how to prepare for the test: smaller classroom ratios. Direct dialogue and conversation found in a one-on-setting has shown to be the benefit of having fewer students in a class. Therefore, in a larger classroom, Walter has been known to deconstruct the group into smaller groups. The smaller groups allow for the open discussion and thought-provoking insights he knows brings students a more well rounded view on each core subject area.
Other than helping aspiring MBA's, he would be happy to show you how to restore his cherry red vintage Mustang or how to balance the pH on a 75 gallon salt water aquarium. Past students of Walter's enjoy his no-nonsense style and his ability to relate with students. He also has been known to favor schools in the Pacific Northwest over others and isn't afraid to admit it.
