GRE Tutoring in Salt Lake City

Every student is different when it comes to learning styles and preferences when it comes to preparation for standardized tests like the Graduate Record Examination, or GRE. For some students, they may be able to simply read and re-read material over and over again until to commit it to memory and it works. Unfortunately, that strategy only works for a small percentage of students. For many graduate school hopefuls, they will seek out the help of a professional GRE test prep service, not only because of our track record of helping students to achieve their testing goals, but also because there is a great comfort in having individualized attention, through a coach who can then guide you through the study process, giving you a foundation upon which you can build a solid academic career.

GRE Prep Course Salt Lake City - Photo of Student Jackson

I was most impressed with how efficient Vince was with everything, he came prepared and he knew what he was talking about. I liked the efficiency. I already came in with a good idea with what I needed to work on and Vince was great in attacking my weaknesses. I cannot think of anything I disliked or that he could improve about his teaching style.

Meet a Salt Lake City GRE Tutor: Reed L.

Like so many of our elite private tutors, Reed has enjoyed a highly successful professional with a career filled with numerous achievements, an attribute he brings to us at Manhattan Review. However, what most people don't know or realize to this day about Reed is that he had to overcome many obstacles to reach the goals that he set for himself. More so than the average person, one would say. Beginning with his childhood, Reed never quite had the foundation that many successful people have, primarily because he lost his parents at such an early age. Shortly after moving to Salt Lake City to stay with his aunt and uncle, Reed was diagnosed with a learning disability, which became a turning point for him.

When Reed recants his personal story to his students at Manhattan Review, he always stresses to them the fact that it truly was a blessing that he learned about his learning disability because it gave him renewed focus and clarity. Yes, he definitely had to work much harder than many of his classmates, which he did, but it all paid off when he graduated at the top of his class and went on to attend one of the top universities in Salt Lake City, Utah State University. After graduating from Utah State University with his degrees in Applied Sciences, it didn't take long for Reed to land his first entry level job in his chosen field. Seven years and four promotions later, Reed is not only one of the hardest working men in the field of Applied Sciences, but is certainly one of the most decorated. His unique background, trials and tribulations included, are ultimately what inspired Reed to want to help develop future talent in Salt Lake City. He found that place in Manhattan Review and has been with us ever since.
