Meet a Champaign IELTS Tutor: Alan W.

Alan W. was born in Miami, and he has always enjoyed connecting with people and sharing important information. After a class in his freshman year of high school, he discovered an interest in advertising and marketing. Knowing he wanted the best education possible, Alan worked hard during school, and he prepared for the SAT with a private tutor. After receiving an impressive SAT score, Alan chose to attend the University of Pennsylvania, where he majored in marketing. During his undergraduate program, he spent five semesters working as a tutor in the university's learning center, helping others master information that came easily to him. He then moved across the country and attended the University of California at San Diego, where he obtained a master's degree in teaching, as well as a TESOL certificate. After graduating, he accepted a position with a large social media organization in Southern California.

A few years later, Alan was offered an exciting social media marketing position at a start-up company in Champaign, and he and his husband happily relocated to Illinois.
