When it comes to preparing for an important test like the IELTS, many students enjoy learning in the company of others and find their peers' questions and comments insightful and even inspiring. Other students, however, know they do not perform to their full capabilities when attempting to learn complex information in a classroom-style group setting. They find themselves distracted by others or frustrated when they must alter their own pace of learning to match that of their peers. If you are an ESL student looking to prepare for the IELTS as part of attending an English-speaking college, consider working with one of the world-class private tutors at Manhattan Review.

Meet a Ho Chi Minh City IELTS Tutor: Robert W.
Robert W. was born in Ontario, and he has always enjoyed sharing new information with people. From an early age, he developed an interest in advertising and marketing, as well as an interest in the psychology of consumer behavior. Robert worked very hard in high school, and he studied with a private tutor to prepare for the SAT. After receiving a very high SAT score, Robert was accepted to Georgetown University, where he majored in marketing. He spent four semesters working in the university's tutoring center, helping others master information that came easily to him. He then attended the University of California at San Diego, where he obtained a master's degree in teaching, as well as a TESOL certificate, and he looked forward to where his professional endeavors might someday take him.
After graduating, Robert worked as an English teacher in a private school in San Diego for a few years. He was then offered a social media marketing position in Ho Chi Minh City, and he was excited to relocate to such a dynamic city. While he enjoyed the challenges of his new job, Robert soon found that he missed working with students and making a positive difference in their lives. When he learned about the local office of Manhattan Review, he applied and was soon hired as a TOEFL and IELTS tutor. When he isn't helping the next generation of English-speakers prepare for test-taking success, Robert can be found designing eye-catching campaigns for various industries and going to his favorite comedy clubs with friends.
