Meet an Urbana-Champaign IELTS Tutor: Russell B.

Russell B. graduated with a Master's of Education from the University of Chicago and then moved to the Urbana-Champaign area shortly afterwards to work as an English teacher. He has many years of experience in teaching the English language in various forms to both native and non-native speakers alike, and he also works as a TOEFL and IELTS instructor for Manhattan Review.

Russell tends to start his work with students by gauging their levels of comprehension, along with their speaking and writing ability, to see what level they are at before making his way towards the more exam-specific elements of the IELTS. This allows his students to understand some fundamentals of the language properly prior to starting the IELTS preparation. In his spare time, Russell likes to box.
