Meet a New York LSAT Tutor: Doug P.
Doug has been tutoring for more than five years. Specializing in test prep, Doug has worked with students studying for the SAT, ACT, GRE, and LSAT. He has a special affinity, however, for helping students to develop their writing skills. Doug is a published Finance writer, with articles featured in local and national publications. This evolved into the legal arena, and he recognized that area expertise would greatly improve the quality of his work. Doug decided to head to the nation's oldest law school at the College of William & Mary. With its picturesque campus nestled in the heart of Williamsburg, Va., Doug immersed himself in the wondrous world of Law. He studied for and passed the bar exam in both Virginia and New York – both on his first try.
Doug caters his learning style the individual strengths and weaknesses of his students. He enjoys keeping the sessions casual to boost his students' confidence and scores. Doug scored a stellar 169 on his LSAT, and he's ready to show his students how to achieve similar results. Doug may love the written word, but unlike the traditional "writerly" type, Doug is an extrovert all the way. He works his sense of humor into the lesson plans to help his students relax. Doug loves crossword puzzles, collecting vinyl for his vintage record player, and traveling with his fiancé.
