SAT Private Tutoring in Dayton (Ohio)
Are you a Dayton-based student seeking to obtain the highest possible score on the SAT? If you are looking for the most effective and comprehensive SAT preparation resources, look no further than the standardized test prep professionals at Manhattan Review. When it comes to learning challenging academic information, many students learn perfectly well in classroom-style group settings, finding important benefits from interacting with peers. Other students, however, know that they do not perform at their best in a group setting. They worry about not grasping information as fast as other students and fear holding the group back. Alternatively, these students may feel frustrated when they have mastered a particular concept but cannot move forward until the rest of the group is able to demonstrate similar mastery. If you find attempting to learn test-related information in a group more distracting than helpful and know you retain concepts best through one-on-one instruction, consider working with one of the experienced private tutors at Manhattan Review.

Meet a Dayton SAT Tutor: Samantha O.
Samantha O. was born in South Africa but moved to Washington, DC, with her family as a teen. Since she was young, Samantha had dreamed of becoming a professional illustrator and graphic designer. She worked very hard throughout high school, developing an impressive art portfolio in addition to chairing various committees and serving as vice president of the student council. Her dedication, combined with a very high SAT score, earned Samantha a place at Johns Hopkins University, where she chose to major in graphic design. Samantha worked as a tutor in the college's learning center for four semesters, and she was surprised to discover how much she enjoyed supporting others' learning.
After graduating from Johns Hopkins, Samantha remained in Baltimore, teaching art classes at a local high school while also working as a freelance artist. Samantha went on to obtain a master's degree in education from the University of Maryland, and when her former college roommate accepted a job in Dayton, she invited Samantha to move with her. Samantha was excited to experience a new adventure, and after relocating, she obtained a position teaching art in an after-school program. She also joined the team at Manhattan Review, and students praise her helpful memorization techniques, as well as her time management skills. When she isn't guiding the next generation of college students to SAT mastery, Samantha can be found painting and playing the violin.
