If you are not a native English speaker or English is not your first language, you will want to take advantage of the best TOEFL prep resources. When it comes to preparing for a test like the TOEFL, many students know they enjoy learning in the company of others, finding their peers' questions or comments insightful and helpful. Other students, however, know they do not perform at their best when attempting to learn complex information in a group setting. They worry about slowing the group down because they need to work at a slower pace. Meet a Bern TOEFL Tutor: Darsh A.
Darsh A. was born in Chennai, India, and lived there for the first thirteen years of his life until his mother accepted a position with a large tech company in Silicon Valley. Darsh loved working with computers and at an early age, he began developing his own app-based games and programs. Darsh worked very hard at his competitive high school and obtained an impressive ACT score, which allowed him to attend New York University, where he majored in computer science. After graduating from NYU, Darsh went on to obtain a master's degree in computer science, as well as a TESOL certificate, from the University of California at Los Angeles. After graduating, he happily accepted a position with an established non-profit organization focused on improving access to technology in underserved areas around the world.
Darsh traveled around the world for more than ten years, living in Romania, India, Turkey, and Hungary before eventually settling in Bern. While he enjoyed working with computers, he also loved helping others learn, and he knew just how important a knowledge of the English language could be. Darsh joined the team at Manhattan Review, and his students appreciate his patience, as well as his clear explanations of English language concepts. When Darsh isn't setting the next generation of college students up for their own successes, he can be found going to the movies with friends and kayaking when the weather is nice.
