Meet a Ho Chi Minh City TOEFL Tutor: Jaya T.

Jaya T. was born in Mumbai, India, and lived there for the first twelve years of her life until her father accepted a position with an established tech company in San Francisco. Jaya loved working with computers and during high school, she offered free coding seminars to middle school-aged girls to help them improve their own understanding of technology. After obtaining a stellar SAT score, Jaya chose to attend the University of California at Los Angeles, where she majored in computer science and minored in English. After graduating from UCLA, Jaya completed a master's degree in computer science, as well as a TESOL certificate, from the University of Southern California. She then accepted a position with an international non-profit organization focused on improving access to technology around the world and spent the next few years traveling and living in Bali, Korea, and Sri Lanka before settling in Vietnam.

Jaya was delighted to learn about Manhattan Review's local office and after she applied for an open TOEFL/IELTS instructor position, she was quickly welcomed to the team.
