TOEFL Tutoring in Los Angeles (California)

The Test of English as a Foreign Language, or TOEFL, is the most widely accepted test of English language proficiency for non-native English speaking students looking to enter college in the U.S. and around the world. It is also used by many medical and licensing organizations for professional certification purposes. Like any other standardized test used to measure proficiency or assess skills, the TOEFL can be quite intimidating, especially for students looking to embark on higher education.

In Los Angeles, Manhattan Review is the most trusted source for TOEFL test preparation services. For over 15 years, we have been providing students with the necessary tools and resources so that they not only master the English language, but also score their highest possible score on the TOEFL exam. Through the use of professionally accomplished tutors who employ one-one-one engagement with the students, interactive online courses available on demand and the availability of true-to-life practice tests, Manhattan Review delivers a best in class test prep experience unlike no other.

Why is a high score so important on the TOEFL? A high is one of the biggest advantages that a prospective student can have over other test takers, because it affords said student the opportunity to have a wider pool of academic choices, from institutions such as the University of California at Los Angeles, Loyola Marymount University and Syracuse, to programs of study. Even further, the top employers both in Los Angeles and around the country, such as Walt Disney and Kaiser Permanente and Bank of America, recognize high scorers on the TOEFL examination from Manhattan Review as some of the most desirable and employable in Los Angeles and around the world.

Meet a Los Angeles TOEFL Tutor: Kaitlyn V.

In 2000, Kaitlyn graduated from Vanderbilt University with a double major in Communication Studies and Spanish. She then went on to pursue a career as a staff writer with the local NBC affiliate in Nashville. After earning several promotions, within seven years, Kaitlyn had become the Broadcasting Station Manager for the Spanish speaking sister channel of the same affiliate. While working there, the Los Angeles affiliate for FOX heard of Kaitlyn's stellar work and offered her a job to come out to California, where she would become the Director of Broadcasting for a major station.

With the opportunity to employ both of her degrees and years of experience, Kaitlyn, her husband Eric and their two sons, Mason and Liam, moved out to Los Angeles, California. Shortly after her move, Kaitlyn had the opportunity to meet some of the elite tutors from Manhattan Review, and she was impressed. Not long after that chance meeting, Kaitlyn joined the team at Manhattan Review as a TOEFL tutor, initially. She later began to tutor students on SAT prep as well.

Having spent her entire career working with non-native English speakers and studying Spanish in college, Kaitlyn will tell you she feels privileged to be able to help non-native English speakers master the English language and she believes that the TOEFL test prep program is the perfect marriage between her unique skills sets. By employing real life examples from her day job as well as a host of comprehensive skills synonymous with Manhattan Review's world-class boutique test prep services, Kaitlyn is a valued contributor to the reputation of the Manhattan Review test prep brand.
