Meet a Philadelphia TOEFL Tutor: Lorenza M.

Lorenza grew up in Italy with her American mother and Sicilian father, and embraced a bilingual heritage from an early age. A student of English since she was in grad school, Lorenza has been interested in language and cultural identity as she's pursued her education. She attended University of Catania in Sicily, where she studied Italian Literature with a minor in English. As she studied English, she became interested in the effect that language has on identity, and decided that she wanted to see these effects in a classroom setting. So she went on to earn her Masters in Teaching, and has been working in classrooms since.

Wanting to gain global exposure to her studies, Lorenza took advantage of opportunities given to her by her employers to travel the world. Today, Lorenza understands the traditional limits of language and has the patience to deliver test prep effectively. She's a top TOEFL tutor who has carved out a niche for herself here in the city of brotherly love. She can work with you to break through language barriers and help you absorb skills instead of just mimicking them. This leads to a more lasting mastery of the English language that will yield higher test results and better performance in higher education. In her spare time, Lorenza loves to practice the violin, cook for her friends, and go on road trips.
