TOEFL Tutoring in Tucson (Arizona)
Students who are planning to learn an entirely new language so that they can take the Test of English as a Foreign Language, or TOEFL exam, can utilize Manhattan Review for assistance in their test preparation to help them gain the skills for learning a brand new language for the first time. Manhattan Review has been operating since 1999 and been helping students to prepare for the TOEFL exam with a variety of study methods to take advantage of, updated as necessary to keep up with the current formatting and study material that the exam focuses on. Students who wish to improve their scores on the TOEFL exam should take advantage of the tutoring options offered by Manhattan Review to students in the Tucson area. The tutoring options can be taken both in-person or online depending on the needs of the student, and our tutors have many unique benefits.
Instructors work with students to create an individualized learning plan and work with them to play up their own strengths and work on any weaknesses they may have. Individual plans can either be in-person on online, depending on your preferences and needs. Students who work with an in-person tutor in the Tucson area can rest assured that our TOEFL tutors have many years of experience teaching English in Tucson thanks to the high number of ESL residents in the area, and they also provide the benefit of flexible scheduling and a location that can be mutually agreed upon between the student and the instructor. Aside from the highly customized learning plan, working one-on-one can help students to optimize their time by removing distractions or lessons which are not particularly helpful for their needs. Time is spent focusing in on different parts of the TOEFL, and one-on-one learning also adds the benefit of more English-speaking practice with the instructor.
The students who have taken advantage of the TOEFL exam preparation services that Manhattan Review has to offer have reported that they have gone into their exam with increased levels of confidence in their performance for the exam, along with a stronger command of the English language that serves them well in their everyday life. Students who have worked with Manhattan Review have also had their scores improved on the TOEFL exam sufficiently to go on to prestigious universities that take the TOEFL exam, a more common choice in the United States when compared to the more British focused IELTS exam. Manhattan Review has gotten students into Harvard, University of Arizona, University of Chicago, Emory, Brown, and many other prestigious and highly ranked colleges. Students have also gone on to have successful careers at Fortune 500 companies. Talk to an academic program advisor today to learn more about our services.

Meet a Tucson TOEFL Tutor: John T.
John T. was born in California and attended UCLA to get his bachelor's degree in French, and he later went on to get a Master's degree in Education at the University of Arizona, which led to him settling in Tucson for his work as a teacher. He has been tutoring students in both the TOEFL and IELTS exams ever since.
John believes that students who are looking to take the more academically focused TOEFL exam (as opposed to the more conversational IELTS exam) should handle their studies in an appropriately academic fashion and he manages his study plans accordingly. He is trilingual (English, French, Spanish) and is looking to learn German. In his spare time, John likes to collect records.
