Most people are aware that postsecondary education leads to better employment prospects, but they may not realize how much of a difference a college degree makes in the job market. According to the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics, the unemployment rate for working adults (age 25 and over) without any postsecondary training is nearly twice as high as the rate for holders of a bachelor's degree (5.4% versus 2.8%). Furthermore, university graduates typically earn salaries that are almost 68% higher than high school graduates with no college education ($1,137 versus $678 in median weekly earnings). The discrepancies are much greater with respect to younger workers (under 25 years of age). The Economic Policy Institute reports that the unemployment rate for young high school graduates is 22.5%, compared to 8.5% for young college graduates. Though both groups of young workers have seen a decline in wages since 2000, the losses were substantially less for college graduates (7.7% as opposed to 10.8%).
Postsecondary education clearly facilitates job opportunities, career advancement, and economic security. Manhattan Review's SAT prep courses and private tutoring help Vienna students secure academic credentials that are crucial to their long-term prospects. Our students have been accepted to the top universities in the United States, including Princeton, the University of Chicago, Brown, Duke, Vanderbilt, Stanford, and Harvard. Our former students have used their degrees to build successful careers at public and private organizations, and in both the for-profit and non-profit sectors. Some have been hired by Fortune 500 companies and Austrian firms, such as Cardinal Health, Johnson & Johnson, New York Life Insurance, Twenty-First Century Fox, Böhler-Uddeholm, A-TEC Industries, AKG Acoustics, and TourRadar. Others work for government agencies, institutions for research and education, and charitable organizations. Education is the basis of a rewarding, secure, and prosperous future. A small investment in Manhattan Review's SAT prep courses and private tutoring can produce a lifetime of benefits.

Funny, made things clear and related things to real life. The SAT / ACT course was very helpful, I don’t think I would’ve improved my reading skills without it. This course also gave me strategies to break down a reading. I got a feel for the SAT and had practice in areas I struggled in.

Meet a Vienna SAT Tutor: Ludwig C.
Ludwig C., originally from Berlin, immigrated to the United States at the age of 13. His high school career (near Columbus, Ohio) included starring in track and field, performances in school musicals, and 99th percentile SAT scores. He completed his undergraduate degree in sociology at Yale, and then a master's degree in history at UC Berkeley. He moved to Vienna in 2013 after his marriage to an Austrian civil servant.
Ludwig has been an SAT and GRE tutor since 2011, and has worked as a prep tutor in no fewer than four cities (Cleveland, San Francisco, Los Angeles, and Vienna). His Vienna students frequently praise his unique combination of personal and professional attributes. "With experience as a teacher and student in both the United States and Germany, Ludwig understands my goals," said a Vienna applicant to an Ivy League school. "His teaching combines American ingenuity with German studiousness."
